|
Case: A 32-year-old woman with no significant past medical history was referred to the Neuro-ophthalmology Service by the Neurosurgery Department for an opinion on the surgical management of an optic nerve tumor. Nine months earlier, she had experienced painless, vision loss of 1 months duration that had progressed to no light perception (NLP) OD, with absence of visual symptoms OS. The patient had reported severe right-sided headaches, for which her primary care physician had prescribed Demerol. The following key findings were derived from the MRI scans provided by the patient during the initial neuro-ophthalmic examination. |
