Case: A 32-year-old woman from Ecuador, who has been residing in the United States mainland for the past 8 years, arrived at our institute with an 8-month history of “eye problems”. She had been diagnosed with persistent uveitis 2 months previously and was being treated by an ophthalmologist not affilaited with our institute.
Past Medical and Surgical History
The patient had undergone a cesarean section
Known allergy to cheese
Tobacco smoker (1/2 pack per day of cigarettes, on average)
Occasional ethanol consumption
No pertinent family medical history
