WHAT IS THE DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS AT THIS POINT?

 
 At this point, the differential diagnosis for persistent elevation of intraocular pressure after traumatic  orbital injury includes

  • incomplete canthotomy after retro-bulbar hemorrhage;
  • recurrent orbital hemorrhage;
  • testing artifact;
  • cavernous-carotid fistula;
  • angle-closure glaucoma (acute or chronic); and
  • optic nerve sheath hemorrhage.
