HOW WOULD YOU CARE FOR THE PATIENT AT THIS POINT?

MRI

  • Performed because of remote chance of cortical visual loss
  • Also, to get high resolution scans of optic nerves on closed coil machine

INTERPRETATION OF MRI RESULTS

  • Did not do high resolution scan of optic nerves as recommended, only brain scan
  • No gadolinium given, as recommended
  • Results of brain scan: normal
  • Optic nerves appear normal as observed
