A
78-year-old woman was referred to the Oculoplastic Service
with a mass over the right eyelid. The patient
had noticed the presence of a bump
growing in the past months.
She
reported no pain but stated that recently she is hardly
able to open her right eye. She had no trauma
or previous skin infection in the affected
area.
No
fever, sweat, chills, or weight loss. She reports good
appetite.
POH:
As above. No previous eye surgery.
SPMH:
Mild Alzheimers, reports no HTN, DM
Surgical
History: Venous stent placed in the left leg many years
ago.
FH:
Father died of laryngeal cancer.
SH:
Tobacco, 1 pack per day for 50 years; ETOH:
drinks liquor regularly
Meds:
Bufferin for pain every other day
