• Participates in education and safety programs for employees throughout UMDNJ Newark campus and oversees investigators, physicians, and other researchers.
• Develops the Radiation Safety Quality Assurance and Procedure Manual
• Ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines of regulatory agencies
• Investigation and analysis of incidents and badge exposures
• Oversees waste management program, radiation safety and patient surveys.
• Serves as an advisor to responsible administrative officers of different units in regards to design of facilities where radioisotopes and/or x-ray producing equipment is used.
