Hello. This page links to my Curriculum Vitae. But enough about me. Here's a link to a resource of over 4,500 mental health organizations all over the world indexed by Name, along with their future meetings and events indexed by Location and Date. If you need a place to go or a time to go somewhere for behavioral health education, please take a look. There are also links to numerous other Web pages of interest in psychiatry and psychology.

For information about Telehealth (meetings and organizations) in addition to behavioral healthcare and psychology, try THIS.

While if you read Chinese, you can get the same thing HERE.

But first, how about donating your brain?

By the way, are you pregnant? If you are on certain drugs used for depression, bipolar disorder, manic-depression or epilepsy you are NEEDED FOR A RESEARCH SURVEY. Please click here for the AED Pregnancy Registry at Harvard Medical School.

Have you encountered stigma related to a psychiatric problem? Phone your experience in to the Stigmabuster.

Care to talk publicly about experiences with mental health issues?

Interested in clinical trials?

STIGMABUSTER

NAMI Anti-Stigma Coordinator Sarah Johnston is the person to call ( 703 / 524 - 7600 ) to report instances of discrimination because of brain disorder. People with mental conditions are often teased and psychiatric problems are frequently ridiculed in popular media. For example, NAMI persuaded Nestlé to drop "Loony Jerry, Weird Wally and Psycho Sam" from its product line. To receive Stigma Alerts click HERE.

CLINICAL TRIALS

Patients who want to join clinical trials and clinicians seeking unusual treatments for their patients can tune into the CenterWatch Clinical Trials Listing Service for descriptions of planned research with eligibility requirements and contact information. One can sign up for a free e-mail service that provides individual notification about new trials in a selected geographical and clinical area.

EXPERIENCES

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill [NAMI] is seeking consumers and families willing to speak with the media about their experiences with "brain disorders." They have been receiving many requests, particularly about managed care, children's issues, and the criminal justice system. Call their StoryBank at 703/516-7238.

DONATE A BRAIN

The Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center especially needs gifts of such organs from people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder and their relatives, as well as brains from people who don't meet Axis I diagnoses and who have no family history of mental illness. Only 25 brains per year are coming in from people with a psychiatric history. Yours can make a difference. Jot this number down and think about it: 800 / 272-4622.

FYI, I look like this:
