European Association of Transcultural Group Analysis [EATGA], (Association européenne pour l'analyse transculturelle de groupe)

About:

The European Association of Transcultural Group Analysis [EATGA] is committed to the development of understanding and of research on the cultural matrices of identity and of the self. With this aim in mind, it organizes international experiential workshops at regular intervals. Participants in these workshops include people from different countries, who then constitute a form of encounter between diverse cultural entities, identities and belongings. This diversity includes differences in language, history, systems of belief and values, education and dress, religious affiliation, and many other differences. Based on the psychoanalytic methodology of research, adapted by Foulkes for group analysis, possibilities of dialogue, of recognition and encounter are enabled through group experience and the interplay of small and large groups.
