About: | The non-profit New Center for Psychoanalysis [NCP] was formed in 2005 by a merger of the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Society and Institute [LAPSI] and the Southern California Psychoanalytic Society and Institute [SCPSI].
As an educational institute, NCP offers both a Doctor of Philosophy Degree and Doctor of Psychology Degree in Psychoanalysis. NCP's educational principles are based upon the conviction that psychoanalysis as originated by Sigmund Freud and further developed by subsequent psychoanalytic innovators is an ever-evolving science.
