Objectives:

• Promote the exchange of scientific information and the progress of international clinical and research activity in the field of cultural psychiatry
• Encourage the development of cultural psychiatric activities and organizations within nations and larger regions throughout the world
• Assist in the coordination of working relations between national, regional and international organizations in the field of cultural psychiatry
• Periodically organize international scientific meetings with a primary focus on research and clinical practice related to cultural psychiatry

The primary objectives of IAEP/WAEH is the promotion of peace and psychological well-being of the world at large. IAEP/WAEH also stimulate better relation among nations and improve research, discussion, publications pertinent to the scientific study and applications of psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy, bring together psychotherapists and hypnotherapists of diverse orientations, and set up standards for professional training and adequacy in the field.

• Promotes education, research, and study of the effects of mental development during infancy on later normal and psychopathological development
• Promotes research and study of the mental health of the parents, families, and other caregivers of infants
• Promotes the development of scientifically based programs of care, intervention, and prevention of mental impairment in infancy
• Sponsors regional and world congresses devoted to scientific, educational, and clinical work with infants and their caregivers
• Encourages the realization that infancy is a crucial period in the psychosocial development of individuals
• Facilitates international cooperation among individuals concerned with promoting optimal development of infants and their families
• Provides international networking via quarterly newsletters, computer-based information technology, and development of Affiliate Associations
• Sponsors the bimonthly Infant Mental Health Journal

Objectives:

• Study the nature of man and his cultures and the prevention and treatment of his vicissitudes and behavioral disorders
• Promote national and international collaboration among professionals and societies in fields related to Social Psychiatry
• Make the knowledge and practice of Social Psychiatry available to other sciences and to the public
• Advance the physical, social and philosophic well-being of mankind

Objectives:

• Actions for information and sensibilisations of national public instances as well as international organisations such as UNESCO, WHO, United Nations, etc
• Sensibilisation of parents and of autistic people to participating at representtative associations in their countries or to the formation of such associations, when they do not exist yet
• Sensibilisation of professionnals in the sectors of health and education to the specificity of the needs of autistic people. Foster interest for working with autistic people
• Actions for initial and continued professionnal education and training in countries which mostly need it
• Sharing information on a world-wide basis in order to enrich our knowledge through mutual experiences
