Case: A 16-year-old adolescent girl with a history of seizures since age 5.
Past Medical History
The patient has remained seizure-free since receiving a regimen of Zenegran and Depakote
No known allergies to medications
No other significant medical history
No active visual complaints
Parents note withdrawn affect
Patient requires special attention in school for learning difficulties
No pertinent family medical history
The patient was referred to the neuro-ophthalmology service for evaluation of possible ocular signs that might underlie the seizure disorder.
