POSTOPERATIVE OUTCOME OF TISSUE ADHESIVE APPLICATION

 
  POSTOPERATIVE WEEK 1

  • OD: Stable with no sign of infiltrate
        Manifest refraction: +2.00 to +1.00 x 90 with a visual acuity of 20/25
  • OS: Visual acuity: 20/400
        Deep anterior chamber
        Smaller infiltrate
  • The patient was fitted with a bandage contact lens OS.
  • Antibiotic regimen
    — Ciprofloxacin (Ciloxan) and amikacin tapered to tid OD and qid OS

 POSTOPERATIVE WEEK 2

  • The tissue adhesive was removed.
  • A lamellar keratoplasty was performed.
    – A 5-mm patch graft was used to treat the corneal perforation.
  • Antibiotic therapy was maintained.
