CLINICAL COURSE 1 WEEK AFTER INITIAL CONSULTATION

 
 OD

  • Patient reports increased comfort in the right eye.
  • Corneal scarring is noted; however, infiltrate has resolved and intact corneal epithelium is observed.
  • Visual acuity remains the same: 20/100 improving to 20/30 with pinhole.

 OS

  • Patient reports increased comfort in the left eye.
  • Visual acuity is hand movement.
  • Smaller infiltrate
  • COMPLICATIONS
    — Perforation in area of descemetocele
    — Flat anterior chamber
    — Seidel test is negative
  • SURGICAL MANAGEMENT
    A minor surgical procedure was undertaken to re-form the anterior chamber by applying tissue adhesive at the perforation site. Prednisolone acetate (Pred Forte) 1% was prescribed to the patient in addition to the previously prescribed therapy.
