POSTOPERATIVE OUTCOME

 FIRST POSTOPERATIVE DAY

  • Visual Acuity
    — OD: 20/100 improving to 20/30 with pinhole
    — OS: counting fingers at 4 feet; no improvement with pinhole
  • Slit Lamp Examination
    — OD: Stable infiltrate with healed epithelium
    — OS: Flap successfully repositioned; resolving epithelial defect

    The patient was given a cycloplegic.


 THIRD POSTOPERATIVE DAY

  • Clinically stable profile
  • Culture Results
    — The cultures were positive for Staphylococcus epidermidis (sensitive to all antibiotics).
    — The cultures were negative for acid-fast bacilli (AFB).

    The patient was instructed to continue the prescribed therapy.
