WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME AFTER SURGERY?

ONE DAY AFTER SURGERY: On the first day after surgery, the visual acuity was hand motion OD and intraocular pressure was 12 mm Hg. A 50% corneal epithelial defect was present, with 1+ striae but no stromal edema. The anterior chamber was quiet. The lens demonstrated 3+ feathering, and an 85% bubble was present in the vitreous cavity. The retina was attached. The patient was discharged and asked to take atropine 1% q.i.d., ciprofloxacin q.i.d., as well as prednisolone acetate 1% q.i.d. and timolol 0.5% b.i.d. OD, with instructions for face-down positioning.

SEVEN DAYS AFTER SURGERY: On postoperative day seven, the patient reported a 1-day history of pain and redness OD. The vision was light perception, and intraocular pressure was 7 mm Hg.
