WHAT WAS THE CLINICAL OUTCOME?

 33 WEEKS AFTER INITIAL EXAMINATION: Rubeosis iridis and high intraocular pressure  developed OD.The patient underwent panretinal photocoagulation OD. The rubeosis regressed and  the intraocular pressure normalized.

 62 WEEKS AFTER INITIAL EXAMINATION: Vitreous hemorrhage developed OD, associated  with posterior vitreous detachment.

 LAST FOLLOW-UP (84 WEEKS AFTER INITIAL EXAMINATION): The visual acuity was stable  at 1/200 OD and 20/200 OS, with an intraocular pressure of 12 mm Hg OD and 14 mm Hg OS. The  fundus examination revealed persistent parafoveal retinal whitening, mild intraretinal lipid  deposition in the area of the macula, marked pallor of the optic nerve head, and attenuation of retinal  vessel caliber at the optic nerve head.
