Six months after surgery, visual acuity stabilized at 2/200 OS, and the retina remained flat (Figure 5A). Fluorescein angiography showed RPE atrophy associated with choriocapillaris nonperfusion in the area of the dissection bed (Figures 5B and C).
 
Why did apparent choriocapillaris nonperfusion develop after subretinal surgery?
