HOW SHOULD THE PATIENT BE TREATED?
The patient underwent extensive testing due to her relatively young age. She was found to have hyperhomocystinemia and has been treated with Strovite Forte® (one tablet each day), a multivitamin that contains vitamin E (60 IU), B6 (25 mg), B12 (50 mg), C (500 mg), and folic acid (1 mg) as well as vitamin A, iron, zinc, biotin, niacin, copper, and molybdenum.
