CASE #23

 

 
 Recent Medical History:
ESR is now 59 mm/h (levels are consistently in the 50- to 60-mm/h range)
Prednisone therapy was restarted once more.
Internists referred the patient for a neuro-ophthalmic evaluation to assist in the management of temporal arteritis.
 Review of Symptoms:
Patient has known diagnosis of parietal meningioma:
  • Small, asymptomatic
  No change on imaging for 3 years
Patient does NOT have the following signs or symptoms:
  • Fevers
  Chills
  • Temporal tenderness
  Jaw claudication
