Homeland Defense and Security

Terrorists, both domestic and foreign, threaten protection of our borders, infrastructure and ultimately the freedoms that Americans cherish. The SMBI is striving to identify physiological and behavioral factors that aid in the spotlighting individuals for closer scrutiny in public places. In the inevitability of terrorist actions, emergency personnel are placed under enormous stress to deal with the aftermath and return the affected back to normalcy. Effective training of emergency operations center (EOC) personnel must incorporate stress into training to enhance decision-making skills and performance under pressure.
