HOW WOULD YOU TREAT THE PATIENT AT THIS POINT?
You could treat with Diamox (acetazolamide), lumboperitoneal shunt, or optic nerve sheath fenestration.

 

OPTIC NERVE SHEATH FENESTRATION
 
The patient underwent an uncomplicated left optic nerve sheath fenestration on 3/25/93. Postoperatively, her visual symptoms resolved; the visual field stabilized, and the papilledema decreased OD. However, visual acuity OS decreased mildly to CF at 6 in.
 
What are the treatment options for the patient at this point? Observation
Subfoveal CNV excision
